With a botulinum toxin treatment, fine vertical lines around the mouth, also known as smoker's lines, can be softened by temporarily reducing the muscle activity around the lips. This makes the skin around the mouth look smoother, while the natural mouth function is retained. The treatment is carefully tailored to your anatomy and personal wishes.
The effect becomes visible gradually and is optimal after about two weeks. Mild redness, swelling or a small bruise at the injection site may occur and usually fades by itself. For deeper lines, a combination treatment with filler or skin improvement may be advised for an optimal result.
